Best described as the nucleus, an ontology is in essence, the central core of any given field’s body of knowledge. It serves as the hub which provides clarity about the knowledge’s current structure. An ontology offers a detailed picture of the existing knowledge, as well as opens up avenues to seamlessly share and analyze that knowledge.
An Ontology defines a set of “things,” their properties, and the relationships between them. In practice, an ontology provides clarification to all essential objects and how they intersect with each other1.
With this in mind, Medigy is excited to launch its transformative HDO IL Ontology. The main objective is to help healthcare innovators improve their chances of successfully implementing groundbreaking ideas at their respective Health Delivery Organizations (HDOs).
This ontology will act as the launching pad for healthcare professionals who are, directly or indirectly, involved in novelty and restructuring activities at an HDO.
