Medical and Clinical Research (MCR), also referred to as biomedical research or medicine research covers a broad spectrum of research tasks. MCR involves an understanding of fundamental scientific principles of research, pre-clinical understanding & research, clinical studies of people in clinical trials, etc. Both clinical and pre-clinical research phases are covered in MCR. Medical research is highly regulated. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is the agency responsible for the management of most of the medical research funding and for monitoring clinical medicine research impact.
