Global Initiative on Digital Health
The Global Initiative on Digital Health (GIDH), led by WHO, aims to implement the Global Strategy on Digital Health 2020-2025, enhancing international cooperation. GIDH focuses on assessing Member States’ needs, supporting capacity building, and ensuring quality digital solutions. It aligns efforts, provides technical assistance, and promotes the use of digital tools. GIDH operates as a “Network of Networks,” addressing challenges through four pillars: Country Needs Tracker, Country Resource Portal, Transformation Toolbox, and Convening and Knowledge Exchange. By leveraging existing evidence and fostering collaboration, GIDH strives to advance national digital health transformations, contributing to improved health outcomes and Universal Health Coverage.
